Matthew Ivkovich is a senior at Auburn University and is currently pursuing a degree in both Finance and Information Systems Management. He has spent seven years in the food service industry in both the quick service and full service segments. Six of the seven years have been in management; four of which have been as General Manager of a franchise of a large quick service restaurant chain. He has also spent a year as a marketing intern for an internet start-up. Early Life
Matthew Ivkovich grew up outside of Washington, DC.His goal throughout high school was to gain admission to a prominent university; maintaining a high GPA and graduating in the top 15% of his graduating class allowed him to gain admission to Auburn University in the fall of 2005.After obtaining admission to Auburn University, Matt worked five jobs (approximately 140 hours per week) to save up enough money to move to Auburn and pay for college.
College Life
After moving to Auburn and starting school, he quickly obtained a job at a local quick service restaurant.Working 50+ hours per week while maintaining a full time school schedule, along with his work ethic, allowed him to be promoted quickly.With just over one year at this restaurant, he was promoted to General Manager.At 19 years old, he was the youngest General Manager that this franchise had ever had, but his love fo

A year and a half later, his application for residency was accepted and he was readmitted to Auburn University. He is currently a senior at Auburn University and will graduate with two bachelor’s degrees within two semesters.
While in school and working, his business mind set has help him in creating two business that he owns and operates, with more on the drawing board. He is also currently working on having an article published in a trade magazine within the food service industry and works as a consultant for smaller local restaurants.
